How frequently will your futon mattress be
used?
Every day or only occasionally ?
DAILY USE: If you or your family members are going
to sleep on it every night, you will do yourself a favor by choosing
a mattress in the middle or just above the middle of a product line;
that is, as much as your budget will allow.
Our Monarch, Stratosphere, and Polycore mattresses are all designed
to stand up to daily use. Repeated use might rule out an inexpensive,
all-cotton mattress that will compress over time and leave you with
a flattened and hard surface.
DAILY USE in Dorms and Apartments: If you are
going off to college and want a futon that can be easily transported,
you may be willing to trade off some of the ultra-comfort in favor
of something you can easily afford, hoist up the stairs, fit in
a small room, and easily convert from sofa to bed. In that case,

may be perfect!
OCCASIONAL USE: If you are purchasing a futon mattress
for a guest room where it will get only occasional use, you may
not need to invest in as expensive a mattress as you would for one
that is used for sleeping nearly 365 days/year.
While futons are becoming more common in both living rooms and
bedrooms, the majority of people still purchase futons for guest
or spare rooms. Even though we want our guests to be comfortable,
we don’t usually purchase the most expensive futon mattress
