There are so many futon mattresses on the market today that the choice can be dizzying. The table below is an overview of our futon mattresses all "at a glance." This page does not contain recommendations for specific futon mattresses to buy, but rather gathers all of the information about the futon mattresses in one place where you can compare them.

Here are some things to keep in mind when you are studying the information in the summary table.

1. Mattress thickness: Everything over 8" thick is very comfortable, but they all require a custom-made futon cover. Standard covers available on every retail web site fit futon mattresses from 6" to 8" thick. Fortunately, it costs only a few extra dollars (about $10) to get exactly the right size. Once you pick the cover fabric, call us for the custom order.
   
2. Mattress Size Availability: Be sure to check the "Dimensions" column to see if the mattress you like is available in the size you need. Many mattresses, but not all, are available in full size only. Sometimes the queen sizes are too big to ship UPS or Fed Ex, so manufacturers don't bother with them.
   
3. Queens are Big: Queen size mattresses rise above the level of the futon couch when in the sitting position. Some people would rather have a full-size mattress because it sits level with the top of the sofa.
4. Our mattresses are TB-603 Complaint which means that they meet the open flame test standard for Mattresses, box springs, futons, and similar mattress-like sleep products sold in the State of California.
